Sat 29th April 2006:    Attenborough - 2 Arctic Terns [1 Main Pond & 1 Visitor Centre], Shelduck, Little Ringed Plover [Tween Pond], 1 Reeling,Grasshopper Warbler [Erewash Field], Oystercatcher [Sailing Pit], also Hirundines, Swifts, Common Terns and the more common Warblers. Butterflies: 7 Orange Tips, 4 Small Tortoisehell, 2 Small Whites, 3 Peacocks, Speckled Wood.

Fri 28th April 2006:         Attenborough - 2 Shelducks, 3 Lesser Whitethroats, female Brambling [old car park]

Wed 26th April 2006:     Attenborough - Garden Warbler x2,Lesser Whitethroat x4.Brambling x8[old car park area],Hobby[sailing pit],Jay[main pond].Whinchat x2 males,Pair of Wheatear,Grasshopper Warbler x4[All Erewash field].

Sun 23rd April 2006:        Attenborough - 4 bramblings in tall trees Trent side of bridge south of the new visitor centre. Male goldeneye on main pond. Kingfisher. Several warblers - blackcap, willow, chiffchaff, garden, whitethroat.

Mon 24th April: Attenborough - Hobby[hawking insects,sailing pit], Grasshopper Warbler[3 in erewash field, 1 delta reedbed], Whinchat[female,erewash field], Cuckoo, Yellow Wagtail, Wheatear, Fulvous Whistling Duck, R.C.Pochard, Jay x2, Lesser whitethroat x3, Swift x7, Redstart, Garden Warbler [Beeston Pit].

Sat 22nd April: Attenborough - Garden Warbler[river end of north path],Yellow Wagtail x20[clifton pit],LRP[tween],Jay,Swift,House Martin x20,Grasshopper Warbler x2+cuckoo[erewash field],Wheatear x2,Common tern x12,Reed Warbler[clifton pit], male Whinchat in field opposite entrance to clifton pond bird hide.

Sun 16th April: Attenborough - Common Whitethroat, Scaup, 3 Common Terns.

Saw either 3 bats or the same bat 3xs, tonight, sun 16th Apr, on the path parallel to Long Lane/ railway, about 8.10pm

Sat 15th April: Attenborough - Pink Footed Goose [Wheatear field c15:30], 3 Common Terns [Main pond], Common Sandpiper [Tween pond scrape], female Scaup [Main Pond], Oystercatcher [Coneries], 2 Lesser spotted Woodpeckers [Delta], Treecreeper [Delta], many Blackcaps and Willow Warblers present.

Sat 15th April: Attenborough (Erewash Field) - Short-eared Owl.

Fri 14th April: Attenborough - 2 Sedge Warblers [Clifton Pit], Common Whitethroat [Barton Lane], Common Tern [River Trent], female Lesser spotted Woodpecker [delta gates], Common Sandpiper [Tween Pond scrape].

Thu 13th April: Attenborough N.R. - Sedge warbler,whitethroat,reed warbler,common tern x 2,fem. lesser pecker,common sandpiper,ringed plover x 2,yellow wagtail.

Wed 12th April: Attenborough - Common Tern,Common Sandpiper,G.B.B.Gull,Shelduck,House Martin,Female Scaup,Blackcap

Mon 10th April: Attenborough - LRP x3,Buzzard x2,Willow Warbler x3,House Martin.

Mon 10th April: Attenborough - 2 Goldeneye, 3 Goosander, 3 singing Blackcaps [+female], 14 Shoveler [Works Beach], 2 Siskins [Village], 6 Chiffchaffs, 2 Willow Warblers.

Sat 8th April: Attenborough NR - 2 Blackcaps, 7 Chiffchaffs, 3 Willow Warbler, 30 Linnet, 3 Goldeneyes, Little Ringed Plover [Works Pit]. Plus overflying & c.SE.) 8 Common Gulls, 2 Herring Gulls, 2 Great Black-Backed Gulls, Western Yellow-Legged Gull. And at the delta gate, Lesser Spotted Woodpecker, Tree Creeper.

Sat 8th April: Attenborough (Long Eaton end) - Yellow Wagtail, c.20 Skylarks.

Thu 6th April: Attenborough - Female Scaup+Redshank+LRP x2[tween],Willow Warbler x3,Blackcap,Swallow x12,House Martin x2,Shelduck,Willow Tit,Water Rail.

Wed 5th April: Attenborough - Willow Warbler x3,Blackcap,Swallow x10,Yellow Wagtail,House Martin,Sand Martin C200,LRP x3,Shelduck ,Snipe,Goosander x2.
