Code of Conduct
This site has been designated under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 (as amended) for special protection because of its exceptional wildlife interest.
We want to ensure that you have an enjoyable visit and that the wildlife does not suffer so please follow the Attenborough Country Code.
Please leave gates as you find them.
Please keep to the paths because wildlife uses the rest of the site. Some areas are used by birds for nesting and roosting, others by plants and other animals.
Pedestrians have priority on all the paths.
Litter can be dangerous to wildlife and even left over food can attract vermin. Please take home everything you bring or use the bins provided.
Please do not pick plants or flowers.
Wildlife can be easily disturbed by dogs at any time of year. It is a legal requirement that your dog is under control at all times and we kindly ask that you keep your dog on a short lead, especially when near livestock.
Please do not throw balls or sticks as this may encourage your dog to run into important areas of habitat including areas of open water.
Please clean up after your dog using the bins provided.
