Memorial at Attenborough
Attenborough Nature Reserve is a very special place which has been much loved since it was officially declared a Nature Reserve in 1966. Sir David Attenborough described it as a “lifeline to the natural world”.
You can support our work to provide a haven for wildlife with a plaque in our nature garden, the Willow Peninsula, which is situated at the back of the Attenborough Nature Centre. The garden is a miniature nature reserve, ideal for families or people with limited mobility and a nature trail has been installed to increase people’s enjoyment and understanding. A feeding station attracts a great variety of birds and a mini beast hotel provides fabulous accomodation for insects.
A plaque in this garden costs £250. Please download and complete the Memorial at Attenborough form if you would like to have a memorial plaque at Attenborough or call us at the Centre on 0115 972 1777. The plaque will be 12cm by 8cm and will be fixed to a special area on the back of the Nature Centre.
