Art Exhibitions
In the Nature Centre we have an area where we invite artists to display their work. The type of work displayed varies greatly with pyrography, embroidery, cross stich, photography, watercolours and oil paintings. Where possible the exhibition will have a nature and a local focus.
Some of our regular exhibitors include Elaine Thompson who produces pictures by picking out details in the grain of the wood and enhancing these by burning in the design. “Every piece is different so it is impossible to have two pictures exactly the same.”
Another popular artist is Anne Harrison who produces hand made painted and embroidered landscapes. Go to Anne’s website.
