The John Muir Award scheme is an environmental award scheme focused on wild places. There are four challenges at the heart of the award scheme which consist of DISCOVER-EXPLORE-CONSERVE-SHARE. Please see this link for examples of what people get up to and find out more about the scheme. http://www.jmt.org/jmaward-home.asp

The group meets one Saturday each month from 9.30am till 1pm at the Nature centre and is open to any young adults aged 13 years or over. The Discovery Award requires a minimum of 28 hours commitment which consist of 6 sessions and 16 hours of home work.

If this interests you why not join us and enjoy sessions covering activities such as practical conservation work, bushcraft, wildlife surveys and discovery games!
