Summer Insect Walk for Beginners

Join experts for a focused guided walk around the Reserve. You’ll be taught the skills you need to identify the butterflies, bees, dragonflies and other insects of Attenborough. 9 – 11am. £6 each or four walks for £20. Attenborough Health Walk

Get active and make new friends whilst enjoying the beautiful scenery and wildlife of Attenborough Nature Reserve by joining us for a short healthy walk for up to an hour. Asteraceae - Getting to Grips with Dandelion Lookalikes

16th August 2016
Through this course you’ll learn about the key features of the Asteraceae (daisy family), develop your knowledge of the key features for identifying dandelion lookalikes, use a range of keys to decide which genus they belong to, and gain confidence in identifying them. The course leaders will assume you have knowledge of botany and botanical terms. Tutor: Margaret Crittenden. 9.30am - 4pm. £45.00 including refreshments and lunch. Booking essential.
