WHOOPER SWAN 8 all adults just off Clifton Pond reedbed. Apparently flew in with about 50 mute swan about "2 hrs earlier from direction of Barton in Fabis". The latter all eventually left and flew back over Trent, but whoopers were still looking settled in tight flock (and calling around 5PM) swimming around the ends of the reedpens. Little Egret - 1 feeding really close (35m) to all the visitors walking along Barton Lane, on Wheatear scrape late afternoon!
Already a best seller this new Collins Guide to British Birds is a must for beginners and experts alike. The book was co-authored by Paul Stancliffe, former volunteer at Attenborough and features great quality photographs.
