Wollaton Nature Reserves
Another local volunteering opportunity is with the Friends of Wollaton Nature Reserves. There are various events throughout the year at several locations such as Harrison’s Plantation and the nearby Martin’s Pond.
In 2012, because of Bank Holidays, we are moving our conservation sessions to the second Saturday in each month.
Our next conservation session will be on Saturday, 11th February . We will meet on Old Coach Road at 10.00am and will be removing more mud from the paths. Gloves, some tools and a hot drink will be provided. Extra spades and rakes would be useful!
Our AGM will be at Siemens on Monday, 27th February at 7.30pm. when Fliss Hogg, Park Development Officer ,will give an illustrated talk on the “Forest Recreation Ground – a master plan”. A light supper will be provided by Siemens.
Annual subs (£3 per household) are now due and will be collected at the AGM.
Feel free to turn up on the day for any of our events and please dress for the weather.
For any further information please contact James Tilford, Parks Development Officer on 0115 915 2749.
